Hadrian's Wall at Black Carts

Hadrian's Wall and the Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail are a major feature of the Mid Tyne area. Why not base yourself in the Mid Tyne "when walking the Wall?"

The Trust was established in order to respond to the needs of the rural community, and assist in the sustainable economic regeneration of the area.   The Parish Councils recognised that by working together the communities would have a greater voice with which to influence decision makers and fund holders, and to affect real change of benefit to their communities.    A comprehensive study was produced involving all the Parishes, and the community and the findings published in June 2000. The Mid Tyne Community Trust finally achieved charitable staus in December 2002
